Dementia Friendly Tempe Kickoff Summit

On Saturday March 19th at the Tempe Center for the Arts, the City of Tempe with the support of Banner Alzheimer's Institute, and Dementia Friendly America are hosting a community discussion on how our community can improve the lives of people with dementia.

Inspired by his own family’s experience with dementia, Mayor Mark Mitchell will kick off the effort to make Tempe Arizona’s first “Dementia Friendly City.”

This summer, Tempe was announced at the White House Conference on Aging as one of a few communities testing a new roadmap provided by Dementia Friendly America.
